the warm up

I am still up, while the rest of you sleep... plugging away at projects I am setting up for the year. I am ready to get my workout gear on and start my routine. I just had a cup of hot chocolate GNC Women's Ultra Mega Nutrient formula to replace a meal, because I know I won't eat 'til 12'ish. See you in a few.

Late start on my warm up because I got caught up watching "Finding Forester". Thats why you should never watch an attention grabber while excercising (lol)
It 830am and I finally got to my routine. If it wasn't sunday, I would be commited to 6am warm ups and 7am jogging.

8 sets of 8 sitting leg straddle stretches in 3 directions. forward, to the left and to the right

5 sets of 16 flaps from the sitting leg butterflies

5 sets of 8 medium arm circles

8 sets of 8 repititions- a partial crunch lifting my head without lifting my back, 1 full crunch curling my back and lifting my head to my knees, and 1 crunch lying flat on my back and lifting my knees to my head. I feel the burn.

5 sets of 8 straddle half squats

5 sets of 5 repetitions- backward kicks on all fours. 5 left leg and 5 right leg

5 set of 8 repititions switching each time- arm curls with 8 pound weights in each fist

5 set of 5 repititions switching each time- a quick fist jab, a knee to chest raise and a head level high kick that I picked up from a Tae Bo fitness tape.

Now I get a glass of lemon water and wait for 930am to go for a jog. Let me grab my ipod to fire myself up again!
