after the jog
I had to push myself a little on the jog. Maybe I have to search for a better selection of workout music :-)
Still... it was refreshing when the second wind kicks in. 10 min jog, 5 min run, 10 min power walk with wrist weights pushing skyward, and last 5 min jog up hill.
I drank a glass of cold lemon water.

8 sets of 16 flaps from the sitting leg butterflies
8 sets of 8 reps - medium arm circles (forward and backward)
3 sets of 8 straddle half squats with 8 pound weights
3 set of 8 curls - arm curls with 8 pound weights in each fist (8 or each side)
5 sets of 8 hydrants
I got my glass of lemon water and now off for my jog. See you after.

I had a Big breakfast/lunch today.
grits, breaded fish, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, and mint tea. I DID say it was breakfast and lunch ok? (lol)
I ate half at 9a and the other half at 1230p. I went for a power walk on my lunch hour. Then I had 2 cups of cold water.

the jog was good. jogged for 10 mins, ran for 5 mins, power walked for 10mins with wrist weights doing skyward punched, then 5 mins of jogging. Cooled down. got some lemon water and went to work.

end of day 21
For lunch, I had 2/3 of a foot long tuna with swiss on italian herb from subway. toppings were spinach, green peps, bannana peps, jalipeno peps, vinegar, oregano, and parmesian powder. I had an urge for a sweet, so I bought 3 subway cookies (peanut butter (1) and macadamian (2). I only ate a pinch from the peanut butter and a pinch from the macadamian. I am going to drink some water. I plan to walk a little today too.
I had a good 1 hour walk. Yey me!!!
Came home and took a break for the night. No excercising
Dinner: baked chicken wings, couscous, baked sweet potato and lemonade

I had a great jog in the snow. I was peaceful looking around at the snow on the trees. As I jogged I noticed rabbit tracks. Boy do I love nature :-)
To cool down for 5 minutes and strengthen my arms. I power walked while punching to the sky and throwing jabs the front of me. I finshed by jogging up the hill.

Today I was up at 430am. I told you that I am beginning to get back to my normal hours of working. Lets see how today goes...
end of day 20 (yesterday)
Yesterday went well. For lunch I had black tea and butternut squash. I would have been fine, but I was pursuaded by a slice of cheese pizza left in the lunch room. NOOOO...I didn't eat someone's lunch. The lunch room is where all of the extra food goes after a board meeting or conference meeting. Needless to say I was nautious from that moment on. Greedy nyta :-*
When I got in the house, I had some ginger ale to comfort my stomache. After lying down for an hour. I felt a little better, so I changed clothes and headed to the gym for KICK BOXING!
Kick Boxing was GREAT!!! I learned some self defense moves while having fun to music. Class went from 7p - 7:45p.
8p I had a meeting with a trainer free a complimentary training session. It turned into an hour which was longer than it was suppose to be. He ws great! He said I had great form while doing my sets. Now, I know exactly what to do to tone the difficult areas I am focused on.
Dinner: sweetish chicken meatballs and a glass of Almond milk.

The warm up didn't happen. I didn't feel like wasting money on lunch today, so I decided to make butternut squash soup with grilled shrimp for lunch. I don't feel bad about it because I plan to walk for lunch and go to Kick Boxing to night. YEY ME :-)

- cayenne pepper, pepper, lemon pepper, garlic, cinamon and pure honey

grill a handf full of shrimp on a george forman oven top grill. for seasoning, add olive oil, lemon pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic
cut up and add to soup and serve.
Note to self: next time I will add chunks of crab meat!

after the jog
Due to the hasty start of today, I opted out of warm ups and did a combination jog instead.
10 minutes of power walking with my wrist weights throwing jabs to the sky,
5 minutes of running and 5 minutes of power walking up the hill.
In the interest of time, I decided to grab hot lemon water from work. I am sure this won't be the last time I allow time to slip away from me, but atleast I stayed on track with my eating habits AND
I have tomorrow ;-) I am planning to go line dancing. That will give me my time back :-)...YEY ME!!
Breakfast today is a baked sweet potatoe and a hot chocolate Ultra Mega Nutrient Formula. Plans for lunch is a tuna salad with xtra sweet peppers and hot peppers.
Lets see if we can make that Maroccan Dish happen tonight.

I decided to have the stewed chicken tomorrow due to lack of ingredients and lack of time. I am going to do stir fry veggies with shrimp.

Whewww...
I did my normal routine of jogging around the 3 blocks with my 2 pound wrist weights. You should see me. Imagine...bulky jogging outfit, thick fleece scarf, gloves, wrist weights... running and reach for the sky and throwing jabs and doing arm curls (giggle) No one can see my headset because its under my hat. You should see the facial expressions... very funny. But with headsets blasting, you climb into your own little world. :-)
Time for my glass of lemon water. Talk to you after my lunch hour walk.
My lunch became my breakfast: eggplant parm sandwich and a sweet potato. I will have a tuna salad for lunch before my walk at 1p, unless I stay full/content.

It is day six and although I can't really see the change, I can feel the change. I have more energy to do stuff. I am stronger and more focused on tasks I set for myself. Its like my personal bootcamp (lol)

I took a break this evening and chilled with the hubby and a movie. My excercise regiment and commitment to succeed, is helping my will power. I have avoided the sugars for the most part and will reward myself a little on day 11 if I keep this up.
For dinner, the hubby had baked wings and I had my eggplant parmesian. I baked a sweet potatoe but I actually was full after the small portion of the parmesian (grated mixed in the sauce, not the heavy cheese)

I am just waking up. It's like clockwork this 2'ish or 3'ish am schedule. I think I am going to hit a few crunches since I am up and I didn't work out last night. Let'S see what I feel like doing.

2 sets of 8 reps - slightly elevated kicking leg extentions on my back
2 sets of 8 reps - on my back butt lifts (bending knees and planted feet)
2 sets of 8 reps - on my back..legs together and in the air...lifting butt with lower abs
Luda's "Drop down and get your eagle on" gave me the energy to get 1 more set of reps done.

after the jog
After this morning's warm up, I did a 20 minute combination jog and power walk around 3 blocks and up the hill with my wrist weights.
I am feeling my body getting less heavy and more tone. I won't measure or weigh myself until the last day. I feel if my muscles are replacing the fat, the weight won't change that much. I also feel if I weigh myself and it flucuates due to water gain and loss or food intake, it will not be encouraging. Time for a glass a lemon water. Now to start my work day.
its 10a. They say never to skip a meal... and I am kinda hungry now, so I am going to each half my lunch with a cup of green/orange tea - no sugar or lemon. Baked veggies on a slice of wheat bread...its as good as it was yesterday :-9

end of day 4
Whewwww...just finished my evening workout. I think I am going to call it a night for the excercise.
8 minutes on the stationery bike. Cycling to "Sound of the Perculator" helped
5 sets of 8 reps - arm curls with 8 pound weights switching each time
5 sets of 8 reps - leg lifts on all fours. 8 on the left and 8 on the right
5 sets of 16 reps - partial crunches just lifting the head (upper ab workout)
5 sets of 8 reps - bicycling motions on my back
5 sets of 8 reps - on my back butt lifts

after the jog
After this morning's warm up and the hour jog, my body feels pretty good. Feet are a little sore so I will soak them. Didn't have any extra energy to burn off this time. For lunch I am having a baked vegetables and cranberry in a parmesian garlic pasta sauce sandwich with a side of sweet potatoe fries. I will probably have a cup of honey water with lemon.
I have to rest the dogs so I probably won't jog this afternoon. It will be a power walk around the block.
After a nap, I was re-energized so I did go for a jog in the rain with my wrist weights...jabbing to the front, to the sky and swinging. I can feel my arm muscles geting stronger now. Yey :-)!!! The baked veggies and sweet potatoes were so good, I am going to fix a bigger dish and ration it up for lunch this week. I think I feel like doing a crunch repetition set.
PERSONAL RECIPE:
Slice up purple eggplant, zuccini, onions, sweet peppers, hot peppers and broccoli. Add olive oil, parmesian, pasta sauce, italian seasoning, garlic, pepper and *cranberries*
bake at 400 until its the consistancy you want it.
Make a sandwish with toasted wheat or pumpernickle. Enjoy! :-)

I am still up, while the rest of you sleep... plugging away at projects I am setting up for the year. I am ready to get my workout gear on and start my routine. I just had a cup of hot chocolate GNC Women's Ultra Mega Nutrient formula to replace a meal, because I know I won't eat 'til 12'ish. See you in a few.

My projects knocked me off my game today. After getting caught up on them, it was time for dinner. The hubby made grilled chicken and shrimp with onions and sweat peppers over a bed of wild rice. Complimented by a glass of white zinfindel. Boy I love my hubby...you go boy! :-)

after the jog
Had a good hour jog with my wrist weights. Every song that had a good thump, I found myself throwing jabs to the front and to the sky. R Kelly's remix to "whined your body like a snake ma" and "Nina Sky's move your body girl". Its amazing how music can change your mood. No energy to burn off today so I just grabbed a glass of lemon water to replenish and cool down. Time to change clothes and switch modes. Surprisingly I am not hungry right now, but I am thinking about what to have for brunch. Brunch was 1/2 turkey sausage, cream of wheat, and 1 eggo. I only had about a spoon full of syrup, but I didn't have sugar or butter on anything else. I washed it down with a hot cup of lemon water with a teaspoon of sugar.
Its mid-afternoon and I am caught up in projects. I missed my afternoon run :-(
I snack whileI worked: 1 eggo, 2 slices of turkey bacon, a snack bag of honeynut cherios and an orange. I have to buy some real snacks! Ok...back to work.

Today's routine is modified from yesterday. Work out gear is on. Time to stretch it out before my morning jog! I know... its saturday. I should be relaxing. But, It is starting to be automatic now.
8 sets of 8 sitting leg straddle stretches in 3 directions. forward, to the left and to the right
5 sets of 16 flaps from the sitting leg butterflies
3 sets of 8 medium arm circles
5 sets of 5 repititions- a partial crunch lifting my head without lifting my back, 1 full crunch curling my back and lifting my head to my knees, and 1 crunch lying flat on my back and lifting my knees to my head. Went out last night, so I missed out on my night jog. At the event I ate salsa and tortillas with white wine. For dinner I had sweet potato fries, chicken tenders and a glass of lemon water. I think I am doing well :-) Time to start a new day.

after the jog
The chill in the air woke me up. Got my 2 pound wrist weights to give my arms a workout. I jog around 3 blocks and long arm swings up the hill.
extra energy to burn:
Today I still had energy to burn when I returned, so I tuned my ipod to some reggae-ton and danced in place for about 2 minutes. Then, I tuned to R Kelly and did
5 more sets of 5 reps of jabs, knee to chest raises and head level kicks.
5 sets of 8 mid straddle squats with no weights. After that, I cooled down with a glass of lemon water and a orange.
breakfast was a cup of instant noodles. I drained the salty juice.
lunch was a half of wawa carrot cake muffin and a turkey burger. I have about 15 minutes before it sorta digests, then I will go on my 1 hour lunch power walk with my co-worker. Then, have some water. Later I will have a cup of green/orange tea no sugar. I know...but I've gotten use to the taste.

end of day 1
I am ready for a quick knap before jumping in to my art. Its the end of the day and I have a major headache, but stubborness won't let me break the schedule I set for myself. So, I will modify my workout. Getting in at 5:30, I dropped my stuff. Again, without thought to sitting, I went straight to the corner where my workout gear is.
Got dress and chose to do a 15 minute power walk with my 2 pound wrist weights. As I walked I did repetitions of fist jabs, arm curls, tricep extentions, low swings and skyward punches. Luckly Nina Sky and Sean Paul gave me the ipod boost I needed. Now, I am going to have a hot cup of honey and lemon water and knap. Before I knap what do I want for dinner that requires no effort? Dinner: tuna with sweet and hot peppers and turkey bacon. I know... but this is what I have a taste for. Chat with you tomorrow.

I did 1 lap around 3 short neighborhood blocks. Its usually a 15 minute jog. it is an area on a slope, so coming up the slope is definitely a good work out, especially, when you are swinging 2 pound wrist weights in your fist.

preparing for the jog
the 7am sunrise is approaching, so time to change from my jammies into my excercise gear.
boot sock, excercise shirt, 2 sweat shirts, a pair of thin jogging pants under my thick jogging pants, a hat, gloves, my 2 pound wrist weights, jogging sneakers, a scarf and my ipod to keep me company.

1/111 DAYS TO SEXY COUNT DOWN
Yes it is early, but I am a early bird with no children and on a mission to burn off this fat and strengthen this muscle. Without thinking and my eyes half shut I jump up, unroll my excercise mat and start my day. At 6am I start my stretching:

What was my turning point wake up call?

Slowly over a period of time, I noticed the increase in weight gain around my mid section, arms and face. It was evident when I took this years 2010 new year's couple photo and compared it to last year. Sexy... but not pleasing in my eyes. Although I may never see my high school days of size 5/6 or 7/8., I would still like to see a single digit again. :-( Current size 14. Weight not going to go there (lol)
Let's see where this road to sexy takes me. :-)

Thank you for visiting my sexy blog. I am on a serious mission to get back the sexy me. I consider myself sexy and so does my husband, but all women have their own version of their sexy selves in their head that they strive to be.
